Merry Christmas!

Dear Praying Friends,

We would like to send you a Christmas blessing! May God stir each of our hearts again as we remember in amazement our Lord's incarnation and the salvation that it brings to everyone who puts their trust in Him alone! May you remember the real REASON for the SEASON!!

We would like to tell you first of all that we appreciate your interest and concern for the ministry in Mufulira and for our children! We thank you for your prayers and we trust that you will continue to pray for the ministry here! God bless you!!

At our little Christmas program our kids and their guardians heard about why the Lord Jesus came to the earth to die on the cross and be resurrected for us. Please pray that through this they will make a decision of their own to trust God and allow the Lord Jesus to become the Lord of their lives and to learn to trust Him with everything! We do know that they really loved their Christmas gifts that many of you gave them! Thank you Helen for the awesome, very sturdy pencil bags, big enough for a ruler! They were so excited about that!! A ruler - something that most American children take for granted, is something that brings joy to the lives of our kids. Some of you gave little cars or toys for the younger kids - they were very excited about that!! And some of you gave gifts of money so we could get them notebooks and pens and pencils and even little cookies for their treat that day! Thank you Shirley for the candy!! They were already starting on that before they even left school! :) So many of their extended families came - mostly grandmas were there. It was a blessing to see that the grandmas are supporting these children and that they attended! The children sang Christmas songs for us, shared poems about HIV/AIDS (we had just spent the week before studying that for the National Day for Prayer for HIV/AIDS victims), and recited many verses from Matthew and Luke in English and Bemba. I wish that our internet connection was good enough to send some pictures at this time but unfortunately it is not! We will try to send pictures back with Amanda when she goes back to the US. Thank you all again for your part in making our kids’ Christmas special!! Bless you!!

In Christ,
